Anyone who would like to participate in protecting the planet from climate change under 18 years old:
All the available materials may be used, including colored pencils, oil wax crayons, felt-tip pens, oil paints, watercolors, colored papers, newspaper and magazine clippings, as well as you can also use burnt and glazed clay – ceramic pastes, and others in addition to digital photography.
There are many methods of artistic expression, including:
Drawing, painting, collage, engraving, photography, digital photography, and media arts.
Black and white, and color pictures must be printed. Motion images and movies are submitted on Google Drive.
Each artist may submit only one entry.
Authenticity, Expressing the Thought of the Little Artist:
We encourage cooperation between teachers, supervisors or parents with the little artist through discussing artwork theme “Climate Change” and using audio, sensory and visual media to help illustrate it and stimulate him/her, or through discussion and dialogue to help children to talk about the places they want to express. The artwork should be pure artistic innovation derived entirely from the child, the artist himself, who will draw, produce and prepare it by himself in the case of solo artworks or with his peers in the case of collective artworks, without any intervention or assistance from anyone. The artwork should not also be traced or transferred from artwork or photograph; regrettably, artworks that have intervention or addition by other persons will be excluded.
Artwork Dimensions:
Two-dimensional solo artworks should not be less than 50 × 35 cm and not more than 100 × 70 cm.
Two-dimensional collective artworks should not be less than 140 × 100 cm and not more than 280 × 100 cm.
Noting that flat works should be presented on a single unfolded paper, with nothing stapled or adhered to it. Collective works should be rolled up, with a copy of the registration form attached to their back.
The artwork should be placed in a frame made of cardboard with a width of 5 cm on all sides, as shown in the drawing.
Artworks will be organized as follows:
A-Artworks will be classified by age group.
B-A section of the exhibition will be dedicated to children with special abilities.
C-The Biennale administration has the right to retain the artworks submitted for the competition.
D-The Biennale administration has the right to use the artworks in the booklets of the conference and the cultural purposes.
Firstly, a high-resolution image of the artwork and the data of the participant are sent to the Biennale’s website for the first selection. The names of the selected artists shall be announced on the Biennale’s website. Secondly, the selected artworks shall be sent, attached with the registration form and a personal photo of the artist, for the second selection.
The registration form should be carefully filled out and then attached to the participating artwork. The information in the form will help us classify the artworks, and write down the right information about them, as well as facilitate contacting the participants.
All the available materials may be used, including colored pencils, oil wax crayons, felt-tip pens, oil paints, watercolors, colored and transparent papers, newspaper and magazine clippings, as well as fabrics and colored threads; you can also use digital photography, and all materials that are suitable for adding to your board permanently.
Experiences and knowledge related to the stages of art expression for each school level. The art expression of children changes according to the stages of their development.
The elementary stage: The art expression is based on the initial explorations of the place concept. The elementary skills and concepts are simple.
The preparatory stage: The art expression is based on the exploration of the place the development of the skills and concepts.
The secondary stage: The art expression is based on a deeper level of awareness of the formal and symbolic concept of place, and a higher degree of proficiency and reflection of self- experiences.
-The Fine Art and Aesthetic Values of the Artworks:
Three works in each age group will receive the Biennale Awards.
The Jury will select three works from all groups for the Jury Awards. A Grand Prize for one work from all age groups.
Submitting the participating works electronically through the Biennale website from the beginning of the announcement and launching the Biennale website.
