Climate Change

The current session of the Biennale presents the world children’s vision of climate change in their surroundings, their vision of this topic, and the expression of the image they would like to present to the world about their dreams and how they hope to see the world in the future; the expression of the world’s children in this session of the Biennale is the future vision of the world’s children today and the world leaders in the near future.

Dear little artist,

Climate is the type of weather that prevails in a particular place for a long period, for example, there are places where the weather is always hot and sunny while there are other places cold and rainy and other dry places such as the desert and humid places such as tropical forests and also frozen places such as the North Pole, and the change from heat to cold and rain is also considered climate change or vice versa.

In general, planet Earth is our big house in which humans, animals, and plants live. All these creatures coexist in multiple environments. Imagine that the temperature of this house began to rise? What happens?

Also, when you wear a lot of clothes on a warm day, can you bear this extra heat? This is what we call climate change.

Caring for plants and preserving them, rationalizing water consumption, separating waste, and saving energy are all habits that save planet Earth from climate change processes.

We, the young artists, would like to draw and express our ideas to protect the planet Earth. This session of the Children’s Biennale in Cairo invites you and your friends to draw a painting that expresses the climate changes that are happening and what you and your friends are doing to preserve the climate in your country. Tell us through your artwork and your friends about your future visions of the climate and how to preserve it, as world leaders meet to discuss this issue and the goal of that is to reduce the temperature of the Earth to two and a half degrees less than what it is now, and considering that you are the leaders of the world after the next 30 years, let us present to the world and the current leaders our vision on this issue.

You may use colors, colored paper, colored pencils, the camera, and the computer; you can cut out pictures and arrange them next to each other to explain your vision for preserving the Earth, to let adults choose our ideas about protecting the world, and perhaps to present their solutions

that may contribute to making the world better. Let’s draw a map that tells the leaders that we will preserve the world with our ideas, which may seem small but big because we will be the world leaders in the future.

Before you start your artwork:

  • It would be best if you read about the climate issue to know the origin of the
  • Does your country participate in climate conferences and what has it provided to the world?
  • Do you personally maintain the world’s climate stability?
  • Do you know the harms of materials extracted from petroleum on the climate?
  • Do you know which creatures are most affected by climate change?
  • What do you know about the ozone hole?
  • Watch and study models of countries that have made efforts to preserve the climate and use clean energy.

Let’s see your vision of what you dream the world will be like soon. We would like you to tell us through your artwork what the world should be like and what it should give up to avoid this catastrophe.

Will the colors around us change if this imbalance in the climate increases?

We would like to present a message from today’s children and future leaders to the current officials, the content of which is (Preserve the Earth for us).
